Knott County Health and Rehabilitation Center has just been named as one of the Best Nursing Homes in the country by US News & World Report. The list was released earlier this week with a total of 2,975 other nursing homes nationwide.
US News & World Report is the global authority in health care rankings. Each year a list is released with the best care centers in the nation. “Finding a nursing home that meets an individual’s specific needs is a difficult decision that several million families across America face each year,” says Brian Kelly, editor and chief content officer of U.S. News. “The Best Nursing Homes ratings, advice and tools were designed to help navigate this important life decision and make the process a little easier.”
When the US News nursing home ratings started in 2009 it relied fully on data from Nursing Home Compare which is a program run by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) — a federal agency that enforces and sets standards for nursing homes.
“For the Best Nursing Homes, U.S. News analyzed objective data to arm consumers with the information and confidence they need to help them choose a home capable of providing the quality care seniors deserve,” says Ben Harder, Managing Editor and Chief of Health Analysis.
Knott County Health and Rehabilitation Center is located in Hindman, Kentucky.
