Knott County Health and Rehabilitation Center staff were honored at the Kentucky Association of Health Care Facilities’ Quality Awards Banquet recently at the Galt
House with including the Best of Kentucky – Nursing and Rehabilitation recognition.
Those honored were:
- Knott County Health and Rehabilitation Center– Best of Kentucky Nursing and
- Nancy Hicks – Top 10 Caregiving
- Barbara Collins – Top 10 Nursing
“It is a privilege to honor caregivers for the outstanding care and devotion they show every day to their residents. These honorees are an example of the many Kentucky providers and caregivers delivering quality care,” said KAHCF Board Chair Terry Skaggs. “This recognition is a testament to their dedication to their residents.”
The Best of Kentucky – Nursing and Rehabilitation honorees were selected based on CMS star ratings of four or higher to apply, and then satisfaction surveys of residents and families.
“I am excited to see Nancy, Barbara, and all of our caregivers honored for their work,” said Knott County Health and Rehabilitation administrator Ruby Pigman. “It is wonderful to see them recognized for their dedication and commitment to quality care to their residents.”
More than 700 long-term care providers met during the meeting, energized by general sessions challenging them with strategies to cope with stress on the job, hiring and retaining quality staff, and breakout sessions on a variety of issues facing long-term care providers.
The week was capped off with the Quality Awards Banquet. The Association honored 33 facilities with the Best of Kentucky – Nursing and Rehabilitation Award.
The residents and staff of Knott County Health and Rehabilitation Center are extremely proud of Nancy and Barbara for their accomplishment in their field. Also for being recognized as one of the Best of Kentucky.
